AIDS Quilt  The AIDS Quilt was created in 1987 as a means of remembrance and healing. Today the AIDS Quilt has become a powerful tool for prevention education and grown into the largest ongoing community arts project in the world.

Europride  EuroPride, Europe’s largest Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender festival, will be held in Manchester from 15-25 August 2003, celebrating with energy and imagination the pride within the LGBT community. The event will be an enlarged Mardi Gras, focused in Manchester’s “Village” will take place from 22 - 25 August. The weekend will kick off with a fantastic street parade and will include the Vigil during which people can reflect on friends and family affected by HIV/AIDS.

Hero  Held in February, Hero is Auckland's annual gay festival. The event celebrates queer culture in the Pacific and has a strong multi-cultural flavour.

London Lesbian & Gay Film Festival  UK's biggest and best queer film fest. Site contains details of what's showing where and when plus previews of all the films. OutUK are once again the official website provider for the festival as well as Media Partners for both the London event and its nationwide tour. Festival launched 26th February 2003.

London Mardi Gras  The London Mardi Gras is normally the biggest gay fest in Europe. Last year they chose Hackney Marshes as a venue, loads of people stayed away and many that didn't wished they had. You can read an apology from the organisers on their website, and details of their financial arrangements for their creditors. They claim that the event will be back in 2003.

Midsumma  Melbourne's annual arts fest and party including details of Midsumma 2003, which took place on January 12th. The featival was three weeks and four week-ends of jam packed leading edge queer performance, music, art, spoken word, sports & parties.
